Summary
“I,” the protagonist, works at a bookstore in a suburb of Hakodate, Hokkaido and lives with Shizuo, who is unemployed, in a small apartment. One day something happens, and “I” begins a relationship with Sachiko, a co-worker. She comes to the apartment every night after the incident, even though she is already in a relationship with their boss, Shimada. In this way, “I,” Sachiko, and Shizuo’s carefree life together begins.
