Summary
Ginko Ogino was the first woman in Japan to obtain a public medical license. She lived to improve the status of women and create a path for them in a male-dominated society. With these words in her heart – “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends” (John 15:13) – she dedicated her life to helping people born with disabilities and excluded by society.
